Kleiderlänge berechnen: So findest du heraus, welches Kleid perfekt zu dir passt
Sind wir mal ehrlich: Nichts geht über ein zeitlos-schönes Sommerkleid, ein Dress, dass jeden Look sofort um Längen femininer macht und uns stilvoll wirken lässt. Dank Boots, Mänteln und Grobstrickpullover können wir unsere Lieblingskleider sogar auch im Herbst und Winter tragen – wenn es denn richtig sitzt. Denn oftmals greifen wir im Shoppingrausch zu den aktuellen Modetrends oder den Stücken, die wir einfach cool finden – und vergessen dabei, auch den Fit zu beachten. Ein stilvoller Look zeichnet sich nämlich vor allem dadurch aus, dass die Pieces die eigenen Vorzüge unterstreichen. Das fängt mit der Kleiderlänge an. Aber wie findet man felsenfest heraus, welche Kleider einem stehen?
Die Antwort auf diese Frage hat die Mathematikerin Lily Serna parat! Sie entwickelte eine Formel, die uns die perfekte Kleiderlänge für unseren Bodytype errechnet. Damit sind Fehlkäufe ab heute also passé! 🙂
So errechnen wir unsere optimale Kleiderlänge:
Die Formel basiert auf der Ästhetik des „Goldenen Schnitts“ – ein Symmetrie–Prinzip, an das sich auch Architekten und Künstler halten. Genauer heißt das: Das Verhältnis 8:13 wird von unserem Auge als sehr harmonisch empfunden. Adaptiert auf unseren Körper und unsere Kleider lässt sich der Goldene Schnitt also auch anwenden. Und so geht’s:
1. Schritt: Miss die Länge deines Körpers von den Schultern bis zum Fußboden in Zentimetern – wenn du Absätze zu deinem Kleid tragen möchtest, sollten sie dabei mit eingerechnet werden.
2. Schritt: Teile die Angabe durch 1,618.
3. Schritt: Voilà! Die daraus resultierende Zentimeterzahl ist die perfekte Kleiderlänge für dich!
Eine gute Bluse ist die Nummer Sicher im Kleiderschrank. Sie ist der Superstar unter den Oberteilen, weil sie zu jedem von uns passt. Die Bluse kann zu jeglichen Anlässen getragen werden und gibt immer ein stilvolles Bild ab. Das stylische Multitalent zeigt sich deshalb auch in ganz vielseitigen Varianten: von elegant über cool bis lässig. Hemdblusen gehören zu den angesagtesten Modellen, da sie lässig oder elegant getragen werden können. Inspiriert ist ihre Form von einem klassischen Männerhemd, deshalb sitzt die Hemdbluse meist Oversize und ist aus Baumwolle gefertigt. Das Styling gelingt auf ganz unterschiedliche Weise. Man kann sie in den Hosen- oder Rockbund stecken, hängenlassen, vorne knoten, zuknöpfen oder offen tragen.
Schluppenblusen sind die Klassiker fürs Office oder festliche Anlässe, womit man nichts falsch machen kann. Ihr eleganter Look entsteht durch den hochgeschlossenen Schnitt und die gebundene Schleife am Dekolleté. Aus Seide wirkt sie elegant, aus Baumwolle oder anderen festen Stoffen ist sie auch im Alltag zur Jeans ein femininer Begleiter.
Blusen mit großen Peter-Pan-Krägen gehören zu den größten Modetrends 2021. Der Bubikragen lässt die androgyne Hemdbluse viel femininer wirken, weshalb sie Jeans-Looks einen aufregenden Touch verleiht. Der ideale Begleiter im Alltag oder Büro, wenn es ein raffinierter Look werden soll.

A few magical days in Paris for Haute Couture Week has really given me the energy and creativity boost I needed! I had almost forgotten what it feels like to be rushing around the city, running on adrenaline and totally absorbed by the buzzing atmosphere that is everywhere in Paris during couture week. It’s so good to be back!

I was honoured to digitally support another Chanel show as the unveiling of their couture collections is always an incredible experience and is one of my favourites to look forward to on the official schedule. The show production, collection looks, and attention to detail across all elements were beautifully orchestrated, as always. I also wanted to share my show look with you again this season to give you a more detailed breakdown of the pieces. I think this look could be one of my favourites (though I say that every time ;)), what do you guys think?
I was instantly drawn to this scarlet red sweater which features Chanel branding, embellished with pearls and crystals. I especially loved the cascading pearls that connect the letters together. I paired the sweater with cropped tweed trousers that have been delicately woven with metallic thread and sequins which catch the light when you walk. Tweed is such an iconic fabric for the house so it was all the more special for me to wear this look.
Accessories wise, I added my favourite logo earrings and lots of chunky necklaces, including this split choker. This mini gold classic flap bag actually took my breath away, the metallic gold leather, the open latticework and braided chain make it the perfect evening bag. I hope you can see from the way I’ve styled it that you could totally wear this with a more daytime look as it’s such a versatile piece.
Last but not least: statement crystal-embellished wedges. It’s not often that I wear wedges but these ones really speak for themselves and are such a mood – perfect for summer evenings in Paris. <3
Der diesjährige Sommer beweist: Unsere Jeans sollten wir lieber doch immer parat haben! Denn auch wenn es tagsüber super heiß ist, ändert sich das Wetter sekündlich und man sitzt auf einmal bei 10 Grad kälter im Regen da. Und nicht nur aus praktischen Gründen, kann man Jeans im Sommer tragen – sie lässt Sommer-Looks auch besonders lässig und stilvoll aussehen. Um mit Denim-Hosen auch in der warmen Jahreszeit alles richtig zu machen, habe ich euch mal meine Go-to Tipps aufgeschrieben, mit denen der Look auch in den Sommermonaten funktioniert.
Welche Jeans eignen sich gut im Sommer?
Zuerst geht es an die richtige Jeans im Sommer – die ist nämlich das A und O, damit der Look nicht nur gut aussieht, sondern auch angenehm zu tragen ist. Besonders eignen sich weite Culotte-Jeans, da sie cropped bis zur Mitte der Wade und maximal bis über den Knöchel geschnitten sind und so weit, dass sie jeglichen Windstoß hindurch lassen. Das sorgt für ein angenehmes Tragegefühl und sieht cool aus. Die Culotte ist inzwischen nämlich ein echter Klassiker und kann elegant, feminin oder lässig gestylt werden. Eine andere sommerliche Alternative sind Jeans-Bermudas, also länger geschnittene Shorts, oder lockere Wide Leg Denim-Hosen aus einem dünnen Jeansstoff.
Diese Schuhe lassen Jeans sommerlicher wirken
Zur Jeans greift man häufig automatisch zu Sneakern – kein Wunder, sie passen einfach immer und lassen jedes Outfit sportiver wirken. Wenn es so richtig warm ist, sind sie allerdings nicht die besten Begleiter zur Jeans. Besser: Auf die aktuell so modernen Pantoletten setzen, wie Birkenstocks oder andere offene Slipper. Zu einer verkürzten Hose passen sie perfekt, außerdem versprühen sie Summer Vibes. Eine Prise femininer wird der Jeans-Look mit filigranen Riemchensandalen. Und auch elegant funktioniert mit dem richtigen Schuhwerk: Geeignet sind etwa Loafer oder Mules – sie sind die perfekten Begleiter fürs Office. Festlich und schick wirkt die Sommer-Jeans hingegen mit Sandalen mit Absatz, sie strecken das Bein und veredeln die Jeanshose.
Die besten Oberteile für Jeans im Sommer
Jeans und Schuhe stehen nun also schon, jetzt fehlt nur noch das richtige Oberteil zur Jeans im Sommer. Hier geht im Grunde alles, was gefällt und sommerlich wirkt. Von Basics wie Shirts, luftigen Hemdblusen oder den aktuell so angesagten Tanktops bis hin zu verspielten Blusen, Cropped Tops und süßen Oberteilen geht hier alles! Je nach Stil und Anlass sind Oberteile in sommerlichen Farben oder mit raffinierten Details die idealen Pieces, um der Jeans etwas mehr Fashion-Appeal zu verleihen. Auch schön: Verschiedene Farben miteinander kombinieren. Zu einer weißen Jeans wirken Oberteile in den Trendfarben Gelb oder Pink ziemlich cool, zu einer klassischen Blue Jeans eignet sich ein weißes Oberteil oder der monotone Look zu Blau. So kannst du einen schlichten Basic-Look ganz einfach updressen.

Another day in Paris and another spectacular Chanel show experience. I was fortunate enough to be able to visit the ‘Fashion Manifesto’ this week Chanel’s exhibition which is a fascinating retrospective of the legacy of Gabrielle Chanel, the design process and the evolution of the house. It really is a must-see for any Chanel lover!
Following this stunning exhibition, I felt so keen to discover the new Chanel Couture FW21 collection. This season, Virginie Viard took inspiration from a multitude of artists, drawing on the palettes of their paintings and re-imagining them into a different kind of art. I especially loved the new iteration of Chanel tweed, as the fabric was interwoven with narrow strands of multi-coloured tulle and ribbon.

MONOCHROME
Would it be a Chanel collection without the appearance of a few timelessly elegant monochrome looks? Interspersed with subtle tone variations and intricate design details such as perfectly placed bows which really draw the eye in and create a mesmerising flow of movement. I also had to take a little moment of appreciation for the oversized hair bows and modern hair stylings, the cool rock-chick style plaited hawk adds a masculine touch, perfectly offsetting an otherwise very feminine accessory which is very much reflective of the character that Viard brings to Chanel.

SILK SETS
With the theme of ‘Romanticism’ at the core of the collection, it was lovely to see a new take on silk nightwear sets. The beautiful pastel tones and delicate lace trims worked so well together, though it’s possible that I’m even more excited to see what these pieces could look like styled as separates off the runway.

STATEMENT SLEEVES
The two looks below caught my eye with their vibrancy and were a nice contrast to some of the more pastel and delicate looks. The tailoring of the bold fuschia suit pretty much speaks for itself; it’s utterly gorgeous! I also loved this mustard coat of dreams with its exaggerated padded shoulders. I would even consider dressing this down with some cropped pants, a simple white top and my yellow crossbody classic flap bag and let the coat do all the talking!

GOWNS
The show came to a breathtaking finale courtesy of the fantastically intricate and elegant evening gowns. Not forgetting the ‘Chanel Bride’ of course, which was the most delicate muted pink satin gown with puffed shoulders and tapered sleeves. It truly is the epitome of bridal glamour.
It’s always such an honour to attend a Dior show and I still remember my very first one so vividly, so after so many months in lockdown, I was incredibly excited to be reunited with my Dior family and attend Christian Dior’s Fall 2021 Couture show today. While the digital experiences from last year were also amazing (of course!), nothing will ever beat the feeling of a live show for me; to be completely absorbed by the atmosphere and see all of the intricate details of each piece first-hand details is incomparable. As always, Dior surpassed all expectations, kicking off my couture week experience in the best possible way!
Maria Grazia Chiuri pushed the boundaries of Dior’s aesthetic and brand once again. The renowned designer often combines the art and fashion worlds together within her collections and has even collaborated with artists in the past. This season was no different, featuring work from Eva Jospin with a series of large scale embroidered silk panels that acted as a stunning backdrop to the show.
It was interesting to see a variety of moods and themes throughout the collection and I have broken down some of the looks that really caught my eye on Dior’s Fall 2021 Couture runway.
HOUNDSTOOTH X TWEED
With a focus on heavy tweeds and houndstooth, it was clear to see that texture and fabrication play a hugely important part within this collection. Although monochromatic the clever play on scale, layering of various patterns and addition of chic caps and leather accents is a really fun and interesting way to blend print and weave variations together.

POWER JACKETS
Dior is well known for the iconic ‘Bar Jacket’ (an investment piece I would always highly recommend if you’re looking for a timeless blazer with the most flattering silhouette). I really liked the new take this season, particularly the total cream look with slightly cropped, puffed sleeves and smaller lapels.
It was also interesting to see their rendition of the rain jacket too. This year they mixed things up by incorporating heavier wools and interesting large pocket details. Who can spot the new bag too?! It’s a super feminine, gorgeous style that reminds me of classic 1950’s style snap closure bags.

MESH LATTICE
Mesh detailing always seems to be introduced somewhere within the collection as it adds a slight edge to feminine looks such as those with delicate silk and tulle skirts. I particularly love the mix with the wool peplum tapered high waisted trousers pictured below and think it would be cool to see what this would look like paired with some chunky black leather biker boots for day-to-day dressing.

SHEER
A Dior Couture show would not be complete without a stunning selection of gowns. These three sheer dresses below were some of my absolute faves, the fabric has been meticulously draped in all of the right places creating dramatic yet effortless and almost ethereal movement as the models walked by.

PLEATS
Alongside sheer fabrics, pleats and origami-style diamond pleats that have been constructed in the fabric (as shown in the metallic gold lamé dress) offered amazing movement and interest to the gowns as it created an almost 3D illusion. I loved the dramatic v-necklines too and could imagine layering necklaces too to create an even more indulgent look.

FEATHERS X TEXTURE
Lastly, the feather detail on the two dresses below was simply spectacular! The stunning veil on the finale dress is a statement enough in itself and made the already fantastical dress all the more enchanting.
