tokyo – Boutique Glamour

Over 9 million people are living in the city – it is massive. So what should I do, when I only have 48 hours to experience TOKYO. Here is what I did: my tips for you (by the help of YOU – my amazing community – thank you so much again):

1. Day Visit Hakone

Hakone has a LOT to offer on a day trip from Tokyo. It is a 2 hours drive from Tokyo. We visited the hot springs (onsen), ate the famous black eggs (when you eat one you will live 7 years longer – so I ate two haha) and enjoyed a spectacular view of the iconic volcano Mount Fuji. Afterwards we went on a pirate ship and toured around the Lake Ashi.

2. Day in Tokyo

We started our day in Tokyo with visiting the district Asakusa and then went to Harajuku, Omatosando, Shibuya (all connected so you can walk) and then for a sunset drink we went to Shinjukhu. It was an amazing day!!!

Asakusa

Sensō-ji – Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple, and one of the most significant
little street markets where you can buy cute souvenirs
Asakusa Tourist Culture Info Center – go up with the elevator and enjoy the view from their eighth floor observatory (you will have a view of Sensoji Temple, Kaminarimon and the Tokyo Skytree)

Harajuku

Takeshita street and cat street (you will feel like in Venice – such a cool place)
Ragtag – second hand designer (Marni- Fendi)
United arrows – cool concept store (Jil Sander-Comme des Garcons)
Vintage Qoo
Amore vintage – Chanel vintage pieces (bit expensive)
Ice Cream Zoo shop
