Paris Couture Week Snapshots

Paris Couture Week Snapshots

Paris Couture Week was particularly magical this season, especially as I walked in my first ever runway shows which was just so incredible that I still can’t believe it wasn’t a dream!

I was honoured to open the Georges Hobeika couture show for my dear friends Jad and Georges. The collection was spectacular and I had so much fun wearing the most stunning beaded fringed dress with statement plateau heels – even if there were quite a few practise runs wearing them ;).

The very next day, I closed the Celia Kritharioti Couture show as their bride which was another pinch me moment. The detail of the gown was almost unbelievable, it was a real work of glittering art. Another highlight for me was getting to meet the models and spend time backstage with the whole team, the energy, passion and atmosphere is something that I will never forget.

I also attended some of my favourite brand’s shows and I felt so inspired by the creativity and attention to detail that can always be found throughout Couture Week, it’s unlike anything else. Below are a few of my fave show looks and top moments from my time in Paris this season. <3

VALENTINO X MYTHERESA

VALENTINO X MYTHERESA

Last week, I spent two days in Saint-Tropez to celebrate the launch of the Valentino ‘Escape’ Summer collection with Valentino and MyTheresa. I shot part of the collection for my Harper’s Bazaar cover shoot in Brazil two months ago (here) and I was so excited to style some more pieces of the collection whilst in Saint-Tropez.

We stayed at the cute Le Yaca hotel which is tiny but super charming and with a fantastic restaurant! The first event was at the iconic Café Sénéquier restaurant just in front of the harbour. Valentino took over the whole restaurant with cute tablecloths and special cocktails! I was wearing one of my favourite pieces from the collection, a fun sequin dress in one of the ‘Escape’ prints that perfectly matches my dark pink plateau heels.

For the second day, MyTheresa and Valentino scheduled a day at the fun Indie Beach Club. We had an amazing lunch and afterwards headed straight to the beach! It was a fun but beautiful time! Find below some fav pics from the collection! Xx Leonie

AQUAZZURA X MYTHERESA

AQUAZZURA X MYTHERESA

The past couple of days we joined Aquazzura and MyTheresa for a magical couple of days in Sorrento to celebrate 10 years of Aquazzura. What an amazing achievement and I feel so lucky to be part of this journey during the past years!

MyTheresa is always the best host as they brought together inspiring people (I made so many new friends!), organised the most beautiful cocktail and dinner events and launched some fab exclusive Aquazzura pieces!

Both nights were absolutely breathtaking! The scenery was just stunning, they certainly know how to through a party- that’s all I can say. From the tablescapes, the view, the food and the company it was just perfection! Grazie Edgardo and to the Aquazzura and MyTheresa team for everything <3.

Shop the full brand new Aquazzura X MyTheresa collection here. My particular faves are the holographic mules and sandals and they perfectly pair with so many looks and are so versatile to take with you if you are going away this summer. That’s why I ended up wearing them both nights – which look did you love more?

CAPRI X GCDS

CAPRI X GCDS

There’s no island I love more than Capri! So when my friend Giuliano of GCDS asked me to celebrate GCDS in Capri I had to be part of it! GCDS has a new cute boutique in the best spot on Capri: the Piazzetta di Capri, just next to the iconic Tiberio bar!

GCDS planned an amazing weekend with Giuliano and his friend and I was so happy to join for two beautiful days before heading to Sorrento for a project!

We took the boat to Capri during sunset (the dreamiest) where I met Giuliano at the boutique and selected my favourite pieces for the weekend! I’m obsessed with the gemstone swim, fun bucket hats and colourful knitwear! Other must-haves were some pieces from the Capri collection! If you’re in Capri this Summer: make sure to check the boutique out and get yourself a Capri cap, sweater or cute swim!

We then headed to my favourite restaurant in Capri for a fun dinner under the lemon trees! I had the best-fried zucchini flowers and pasta!

The next day we took the boat to the world-famous Faraglioni rocks, followed by a lunch at Lo Scoglio da Tommaso. The food was so fresh and amazing! I had so many fried zucchini flowers and pasta again – it was a dream! Afterwards, it was time for goodbyes already as I had to be back in Sorrento but I left with a full heart, stomach and some fun new GCDS pieces for the summer!

Tiffany & Co exhibition: Vision and Virtuosity

Tiffany & Co exhibition: Vision and Virtuosity

I was so honoured to attend the Tiffany & Co: Vision and Virtuosity exhibition opening in London last week celebrating the iconic brand’s history and displaying over 400 of their stunning pieces throughout the ages. It’s hard to pick my stand-out highlights as the exhibition is truly a jewellery lover’s dream and the exhibition displays are magical – I don’t want to give away any spoilers but I’d highly recommend you stop by if you’re in London this summer!

The exhibition is structured into seven chapters with each chapter exploring different themes of the brand’s history and legacy, with a number of must-sees like the original script from Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Empire Diamond which is a staggering 80 carats. As if that wasn’t enough to convince you, this exhibition is actually free (!!) but it’s only running until the 19th of August 2022 at the Saatchi gallery. Tickets are only available via the “Vision & Virtuosity” app so make sure to book in advance to secure your spot!

CANNES HIGHLIGHTS

CANNES HIGHLIGHTS

It’s finally a wrap on Cannes! Though I might have a few more glam looks to share on IG, you never know… 😉 I have been so touched by all the love and support you guys have shown me over the past couple of weeks. Even though it’s such a dream to walk the carpets it can be quite an intense period as the events are so back to back but being able to share my experiences with you and getting your feedback means the world to me. <3

This year, I was fortunate enough to work with some of my fave brands (including my first Valentino carpet, eek!) to create some stunning red carpet moments and I wanted to provide you with more of an in depth overview of my looks so that you can see the inspo and work that went into making each moment unique and special.

CUSTOM | NICOLE & FELICIA

As you may know from last year in Cannes, I adore this brand as they always create such showstopping pieces. I knew that I wanted to kick this year off with a bang and was so excited when they offered to create a custom gown for me. We started the design process by discussing a dramatic silhouette with layers of vibrant fuschia tulle, then came the idea of elaborate sleeves and finally, cut out details to define the waist as I wanted the overall look to be fun and modern but it also needed to be well balanced to ensure that is was striking in the right way.

CUSTOM | TONY WARD

I really wanted to have an ‘aqua moment’ on the carpet this season as it’s one of my favourite colours, so when Tony Ward discussed the idea of creating a custom gown it was a no brainer. We felt that this colouring would make for the perfect base to add intricate crystal embellishments over the bodice that gently tricked down to the skirt so we started with a beautiful bejewelled bodysuit and a contemporary neckline. We then added metres of ruffled organza from the waist for volume and impact.

VALDRIN SAHITI

I came across Valdrin Sahiti and instantly fell in love with this gown. It’s a true Hollywood glamour dress, embellished with thousands of pearls and an elaborate 3D neckline which I wore off the shoulder to emphasise the stunning craftsmanship.

VALENTINO

I was honoured to attend my first Valentino carpet this year and I thought this ethereal purple dress would be perfect as I loved the sheer chiffon and the movement that it created. Who doesn’t love a little cape flick on the carpet?! I’m also obsessed with the accessories, how amazing are these sparkly platform heels!

CUSTOM | GEORGES HOBEIKA

My dear friend Jad and I worked so closely to create this one of a kind look for the ‘Elvis’ premiere, we really wanted it to be both sophisticated and modern at the same time. It was quite different for me to go for a crystal fringed jumpsuit but I absolutely loved it, especially with the decadent feather shawl. We topped things off with some amazing matching gloves at the very last minute and I’m so glad we did!

CELIA KRITHARIOTI

Last but not least, we finished the Cannes whirlwind with the amfAR gala and this time, I really wanted to wear something that was different to my other looks. This mesh dress with fringed shards and crystals gave me all of the mermaid vibes. And how could I not add this ombre feather cape?!
