As the weather has suddenly turned a lot colder, it’s time to really make the most of you Fall/Winter wardrobe! With this in mind, I wanted to share a few of my fave Fall/Winter trends from the end of 2021 that will continue to be prevalent in the first few months of 2022.

TAILORING
Well-tailored pieces always make an appearance, no matter the season. It’s a timeless, versatile trend that’s perfect for both casual everyday looks and workwear. I find it exciting each season to see a brand’s new take on silhouettes, cuts and textiles and this season has been all about layering, for example, vests, buttoned shirts and chino style shorts with loafers are everywhere right now.
KNITWEAR
Knitwear for the winter is hardly a groundbreaking concept but there is always a particular style of the moment and right now, it’s all about chunkier statement knits with a focus on luxe Apres-ski style pieces and Nordic style cable knits. The bigger the better!
SEQUINS
December is also known as sparkle season in my book as it’s the perfect time for sequins, crystal embellishments, feathers and fringing. But just because the holidays are over, it doesn’t mean your party looks need to disappear, there’s never a bad time a little sparkle (or a lot ;)).
PUFFER COATS
You all know I’m partial to big puffer coat and it looks like this trend is here to stay for now, which is great news! If you’re not already a huge puffer fan, try experimenting with different lengths, sizes of quilting on coats and colours to mix things up and find your fave style.
Accessories
OVERSIZED EARRINGS
90’s style earrings have well and truly made a comeback. There are earring options for everyone – whether it’s statement hoops, large crystal studs or dramatic chandelier style earrings. You guys have got to try this trend out if you haven’t already!
MINISKIRT
The likes of Versace and Saint Laurent are helping to revive the miniskirt, with hemlines getting shorter and shorter. Of course, this trend might not be for everyone but adding logo tights and knee-high boots will help to create a more wearable everyday look (while keeping you warmer during these chilly months!).
ANIMAL PRINT
While head to toe animal print can be difficult to pull off, I find that the trick with this trend is to focus on just one statement print piece, and accessories are often the best way forward here.
XXL HANDBAGS
You may know how much I love a mini bag but sometimes I feel the need to carry my whole life in my handbag especially when I’m travelling so this is a trend I can really get on board with! Just remember to balance your oversized pieces and think about proportions when styling.
Let me know which trends you already have incorporated in your wardrobe and the ones that you would love to try out. <3
