TIE-AROUND
‘Flossing’ has been a big feature with SS21 ready-to-wear collections and has ultimately filtered through to resort wear, with designers such as Reina Olga, Christopher Esber and Jacquemus fully embracing the trend. While relatively minimalistic, the outcome always presents an eye-catching look, no matter what colour palette you opt for. I’ve been loving this feminine pink and lilac Reina Olga bikini top and bottoms – just be mindful of the tan lines!

PASTELS
You can’t go wrong with a pastel look, the are complementary of every skin tone. I tend to find that pastel tones like buttery yellow and ice blue work best for me with a tan, so they’re ideal for summer vacations. I couldn’t single out my favourite colour from Reina Olga’s latest collection, so opted for this amazing tri-colour bikini instead!
If you prefer a one-piece but don’t mind the look of a bikini, Reina Olga’s Exotica swimsuit is a great option as it’s cut in all the right places, ensuring it’s super flattering.

COLOUR COMBO
You may have noticed by now that I love to experiment with mixing bright colours. I really enjoy finding a fresh new combo that adds excitement to my wardrobe and instantly boosts my mood. Mixing mint green and fuschia pink has been my most recent go-to, but it’s really just all about having fun and experimenting with various tones and textures to create an effect that you love!

NEON COLOUR BLOCKING
Following along the same lines as colour combos, colour blocking with neon shades uses the same principles but the end result is a little more impactful. If you’re after a daring look and want to stand out on the beach, this trend it’s definitely worth a try.

SHIRT LAYERING
Lastly, I always recommend packing a shirt to layer over swimwear as it’s the perfect coverup to protect from the sun on those really hot days but works equally as well for unexpectedly cool evenings. The Frankie shop’s oversized shirts have really been a staple for me this season as they are available in a variety of great colours, but you can never go wrong with a classic white option like this one from Totême.
