IBIZA SERIES | TOP HOLIDAY BAGS

As so many of you seemed to love the roundup of the top 10 bags in my collection, I thought I would put together a new summer edit with a focus on vacation bags! Selecting the right handbag to take on holiday with you is a strategic decision that isn’t made lightly, there are all sorts of things to consider thanks to limited luggage space, but I hope that these options help you to make the right choice!

I tend to choose handbags that are practical and versatile, but also stylish. Size is very important and I always take at least one large bag as hand luggage that can then be used for day trips to the beach or pool, like the classic Dior tote bag. For my time in Ibiza, I opted for this Fendi tote as the monochrome palette worked well with so many of my looks. They work so well as an airport bag as they can carry all my essentials for the plane.

A basket-style bag also works fantastically well for relaxing beach holidays and I cannot recommend the Loewe raffia bag highly enough! It’s a fresh take on their iconic basket bag and I particularly love how you can wear this one crossbody, making it even more perfect for when you want to head out and explore the local hotspots. If you wanted a more petite basket bag option, this cute little raffia bag by Boyy is absolutely stunning (I have the larger size but this would be great for evenings too!).

I would also recommend to pack a few different size options – my little trick is that you can pack one into another which saves valuable space and ensures that you don’t have to check in any of your more valuable styles for the plane journey. I’ve worn my orange Balenciaga hourglass bag and yellow Bottega Veneta pouch far more than I originally thought I would this holiday so I’m really glad I brought options! I especially loved them styled with my caramel toned Christopher Esber cutout midi dress but this pink Gucci bag is another great transitional bag and would gift a nice pop of colours to more neutral looks.

Do you have any go-to holiday handbags? I’ve left a few more options for you to check out below if you are still on the hunt for the perfect vacay accessory:
