FRIDAY FAVOURITES XVIII

FRIDAY FAVOURITES XVIII

Happy Friday loves! It’s been another busy week for me but I’m never too busy to collate a few Friday faves for you!

The Frankie shop have had a some stunning new arrivals and I spotted this creamy white leather blazer that I can’t stop thinking about. Their blazers as they always look so chic, whether they’re layered over jeans or midi dresses but I think this one would look particularly good styled with this ribbed knit mint crop top and shorts by Live The Process. You also add Nike sneakers for a full on athleisure outfit, but I would personally add these strappy green The Attico sandals for a more sophisticated vibe.

It’s no secret that I love to layer my jewellery and I’m a big fan of chunky gold chain necklaces. Missoma have a great selection that can be stacked or worn singularly for a more minimal vibe. I’ve added a wider range of options for you below, in case you’re interested in adding to your own collection. 🙂

WEEKLY WISHLIST #30

WEEKLY WISHLIST #30

This week’s wishlist is centred around all things pink! Kicking things off with this gorgeous fuschia Stella McCartney blazer that is an incredible statement piece all on its own thanks to the vibrancy of its colour and modern utilitarian style belt.

Bleached jeans and an Off-White crop top pair beautifully with pink and work so well for an easy but cool street style look. These Maison Margiela cutout Jeans are a really nice relaxed fit and I love their unusual cut-out waistband detail which adds another dimension.

You could of course pair this look with killer heels but I go for these padded Balenciaga Sandals, for a more relaxed yet still elevated contemporary feel. That being said, I’m always partial to glamming things up and nothing says glam more than this diamante studded Versace drawstring bag. It’s more versatile than you might think and I hope this outfit example helps to demonstrate that you can totally dress down an accessory and get more wear out of those special pieces that you would usually just save for more formal events.

FRIDAY FAVOURITES XVII

FRIDAY FAVOURITES XVII

Happy Friday loves! This past week has been full of ongoing birthday celebrations and I feel so grateful, lucky and loved. Alex has made it magical as always and I have been thoroughly treated to some beautiful birthday surprises. Perhaps you can spot a new addition in the pic. 😉 <3

For the past 7 or so years, we have spent my birthday in Italy as it has such wonderful energy and I am forever inspired by the scenery here. I’ve been trying to mix my looks up over this trip and styled many bright, happy colours that instantly lift my (already cheerful) mood. Yellow is known to boost happiness and positivity, so I thought I’d deliver a little sunshine themed look as part of this week’s Friday Favourites.

These yellow Michi bike shorts are a great option to take on holiday, whether you wear them for a yoga session in the morning or take them poolside to layer with a bikini and an oversized white shirt by Weekend Max Mara. It’s a super casual daytime look but can instantly be elevated by introducing cool statement mules like this azure blue pair from Magda Butrym.

In terms of accessories, I’d add this fun beaded yellow necklace by Gin from the Pampa, which has a stunning freshwater pearl accent – I wore this one on my birthday out on the boat and loved it! I also spotted this dreamy blue opal choker too, which would fit perfectly with a day by the water.

WEEKLY WISHLIST #29

WEEKLY WISHLIST #29

I found some lovely summery pieces for this week’s wishlist like this linen braided belt dress by Belize, a really cool brand that designs beautiful sustainable pieces which are ideal for the summer with their unfussy silhouettes but stunning details. I hope you guys love their pieces too! I also thought it might be helpful to share a few of my golden rules when it comes to styling vacation looks.

Rule number one: Don’t be afraid to try out different swimwear styles and have fun with them! Whether you prefer swimsuits or bikinis, there are so many great options out there and they take up very little packing space. I find that Hunza G has a particularly great selection that works for everyone as their pieces are all one size thanks to the amazing fabric which stretches/shrinks to fit you. For bikini lovers, I’d recommend this tangerine bow detail set, the bottoms of which are super flattering due to their high-waisted style. Another great thing about Hunza G is that they often design similar options for their one-pieces too, which is great if you are loving a particular colourway. This ribbed tangerine orange swimsuit is the perfect alternative to the bow detail bikini.

Next, I would recommend stacking colourful accessories like this necklace from By Alona for an instant style boost. These sorts of pieces are perfect if you want to wear jewellery to the beach or in the pool but would rather protect your more treasured jewellery items.

In terms of other holiday accessories, a lovely tote or basket bag are a must-have, especially for carrying beach essentials or to take on market trips. For me, Loewe are masters of the basket bag and this white leather basket bag is one of my favourite options out there at the moment.

I always try to stay hydrated while away and recently discovered this Glacce quartz water bottle that’s not only gorgeous but the quartz is meant to have natural healing energy that filters through the water. This bottle in particular is associated with promoting positivity and clarity – I think we all need as much of this as possible over after the past year and I’m sending lots of love and positive thoughts to you all. <3

As usual, I’ve been lusting over the Jacquemus Fall 2021 collection and decided to take the plunge and add this lime green knitted Jacquemus bandeau to my collection. It’s the perfect piece to pair with these The Frankie Shop distressed green shorts for a fun, monochrome lime look.

I also recently got ahold of this incredible pink suit from The Mannei and was practically living in it at home in Hamburg! Naturally, the blazer is the most versatile piece from the set as it can be styled with so many different looks but when worn together I just think that this suit has such an effortlessly chic vibe to it thanks to its high quality and oversized cut. I think it could also be cool to style it with taupe platform Balenciaga slides for a real 90’s style outfit.

FRIDAY FAVOURITES XVI

FRIDAY FAVOURITES XVI

Happy Friday loves! I hope you have all had a wonderful week and looking forward to some fun plans over the next couple of days.

Before the weekend kicks in, I thought I’d share this week’s Friday faves with you – a brief roundup of some of my favourite pieces from the past week. As I’m currently in Italy and officially starting my vacation today, I’ll start by mentioning black raffia Prada tote bag which is definitely one of this summer’s must-haves!

A relaxed summer vacay look for me always starts with a few core pieces. These bleached frayed denim shorts by Frame are a great place to start and I’d pair them with a cool white tee like this one by Isabel Marant – I love the padded shoulder pads which provide a more stylish and defined silhouette.

Of course, hats on holiday are an absolute must. Not only will they protect you from the sun but they are also a great way to add a little fun to any outfit, especially those with great prints like thisMarine Serre moon print bucket hat which would pair nicely with my black beach bag and some cool sunnies. To add a zesty punch, I’d finish things off by teaming this casual outfit with a beautiful lemon hued swimsuit by Laura Urbinati, Givenchy sandals and Lemaire croissant bag.
