HIGHLIGHTS FROM DAY 3
KHAITE
Khaite brought all of the moody vibes with a strong emphasis on leather and oversized outerwear. I particularly loved the oversized olive-toned double-breasted suit set and the skirt, blazer and white boot look – both allow for for effortlessly chic city styling.
ALTUZZARRA
Military-style pea coats with shearling collars and chunky knitted midi dresses styled with statement leather buckled belts were focal points of this collection but of course, we can’t forget to mention the stunning enlarged sequin looks. Gigi Hadid wore the most incredible shimmering gold gown to close the show with a bang.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM DAY 4
CAROLINA HERRERA
We celebrated Valentine’s day morning with a special Carolina Herrera show packed with the most statement gowns and beautiful suits with billowy sleeves. The red gown with the dropped waist, peplum skirt and daring bodice stole the show for me.
BEVZA
A show filled with chic minimalistic designs using luxurious fabrics such as cashmere coats and layered tunics over flared silk trousers. I really loved the draped chiffon capes, the movement of these along the runway was mesmerising.
TORY BURCH
Midi dresses were abundant throughout this collection, featuring a cool geometric pattern in a variety of fun colour blocking combinations. These could be easily styled with an oversized coat and heeled boots for a sophisticated and on-trend outfit.
LAQUAN SMITH
LaQuan Smith certainly knows how to bring glamour to New York Fashion Week and it wouldn’t be a show without the brand’s infamous cutouts, leather pants and sequins. The vibrant cobalt blue bodysuit is one of my personal faves!
DION LEE
Dion Lee brought the 4th day to a close showcasing structured dresses with leather bodices as well as chunky oversized cable knitted dresses and tunics. I particularly loved the simplicity of the cropped top paired with cargo pants which would work really well as a transitional spring look.
